Thursday - The Problem of Pain (or Good vs. Bad Pain)

Then there is the problem of the "Bad" pain.  As i spend more and more time locked inside the Spike Cage  chastity device, i am learning a lot about the pros and cons of this device.  What i can say is this.  i have had the CB-1000, CB-2000, CB-3000 and finally the CB-6000 and now the Spike Cage chastity device.  i had issues with all of the CB series of devices and now i have some issues with the Spike Cage device as well.  But there is one major difference between the Spike Cage device and the CB-x000 series of devices.  The Spike Cage device is an excellent design and far superior to the CB-x000 series.  It was designed to last forever and that has never been my experience with the CB-x000 series of devices.  Perhaps it is because i am fairly well endowed and i just put too much pressure on the plastic devices that they have all broken on me at one point or another!  The problem that i have with the Spike Cage device is not the design of the device, but rather the sub-standard workmanship of the device.  i have discovered that it is possible to correct the workmanship issues and when that has been accomplished, i will have a chastity device that can be worn 7/24/365 or as controlled by Mistress Christine as she sees fit!  Some of the steps i have taken i have already documented in an earlier post where i talked about adding the vinyl tubing onto the locking ring that goes behind my balls.  That was necessary because of the sharp edges on the stainless steel rings that it is made out of.  Well today i took another approach to correcting the situation.  i found that where the rings attach to the let's call it a "backbone," the stainless steel "loop" that runs straight down the length of the cock on the top and bottom and is used to link all 7 of the rings that form the Spike Cage.  Each of the places where the rings join the backbone, there is a weld and that weld is NOT smooth at all and it is not even flush therefore, in addition to the sharp edges of the rings, there are also sharp little corners where the pieces are welded together.  Another issue is that all of the stainless steel has never been sanded, or tumbled in a bead polishing unit because each ring has very wavy surfaces from the original machining process.  This is apparent especially for the first ring of the Spike Cage that traps the balls in place.  All of those sharp edges and corners make it very difficult to just sit in a chair or to walk without some significant pinching and even some cutting of the skin and this is all of the "Bad" pain that i have experienced the past few days.  tonight i took time to try filling down the edges of the first ring to see how that will affect the wearing of the Spike Cage chastity device on a day-in, day-out basis.  Once the ring was filed down to make the edges and the welds smooth, i then took some 320 grit emery cloth and sanded and burnished the edges of the ring.  This evening Mistress Christine and i talked about other courses of action that i can take to further resolve this issue if the steps taken to date do not suffice.  What we both agreed on, although only Mistress Christine had the final say, was that i will dip the first ring along with the locking ring into Plasti-Dip to smooth out each edge of the device.  We furthermore decided that the color of the Plasti-Dip material will be blue to match the color that my balls will most certainly obtain when i have been locked up for several weeks and especially if Mistress Christine uses a lot of tease and denial on me, which i have every reason to believe that She will, because She has already told me that such teasing is a favorite activity of Hers!  So if tonight's work does not do the trick it will be off to the hardware store to buy a can of blue Plasti-Dip for application to the two rings that i have been discussing in my blog.  So now it is off to bed and we will see what another night in the Spike Cage will be like.  i guess at this point only time will tell so it is time to head off to bed and see!

5:46 AM - Pain, excruciating pain

The first Week

Well i received my new chastity device called The Spike Cage this week from JTStockroom.com and as you can see it is is an awesome design:

Well needless to say, i could hardly wait to try it on and when i did i was surprised how "Roomy" it was which is a really good thing for me because i am fairly well endowed and unlike my previous devices of which i have tried almost all of the CB-x000 devices which were all extreemly difficult to get into and wear for extended periods of time (the longest of which was about 4 months), this device is easy to get into.  i did however quickly realize that there is one drawback to this device.  Because it is made of flat stainless steel rings i found that the ring that locks behind the balls was very uncomfortable as it had a very sharp pinch almost all of the time.  i tried to figure out what i could do to it to mitigate the pinching and any potential long term damage that could result.  My first thought was to encase it in some heat shrink tubing, but that did not work very well because it was not flexible enough.  So i put the device aside until today when i had a chance to get to the hardware store.  There i found a simple solution to the problem and it only cost me about forty cents!  I picked up a 6 inch piece of  3/8 ID by 9/16 OD vinyl tubing.  i tried to slip this on but it was knid of stiff, but i knew the solution was fairly easy to resolve.  i placed the tube in a coffee cup and filled it with water and heated it until boiling in the microwave oven and let it set for about 2 minutes to get soft an pliable.  It did slip on all the way onto the ring.  one thing that I would suggest if you are doing this in the future is to use a little bit of vegetable oil on the stainless steel ring so that the tubing slides on a little more smoothly.

Once i had the tubing on i tried it on and my immediate reaction was perfect!  Absolutely on pinching or sharp edges to deal with at all now.  So i am now tightly locked in the Spike Cage.  i will add more photos and details on my experiance over the next few days
